Kidazzle, a new toy company founded by industry veterans Steve Rosenthal, Don Robbins, and Jeff Jones, proudly launches with the acquisition as master toy licensee for Iyanu, Lion Forge Entertainment’s highly anticipated superhero animated series set to premiere on Cartoon Network and Max. Iyanu is an adaptation of Dark Horse Comics/YouNeek Studios’ popular graphic novel series Iyanu: Child of Wonder by award-winning Nigerian creator and producer Roye Okupe and is steeped in Nigerian culture and mythology.

DeaPlaneta Entertainment Acquires Rights of ‘Bugsbot Ignition’ and its Spin-Off ‘Bugsbot G’

DeAPlaneta Entertainment and South Korean leading media company Cocktail Media have reached an agreement to distribute the kid’s animated HIT series Bugsbot Ignition and its spin-off, the short-form animation series Bugsbot G outside of Asia. Bugsbot Ignition, an animated series aimed to kids between 6 and 9 years old, has been airing in China (Jinying Cartoon, Toonmax, Yooman Cartoon, among many others), Taiwan (YoYo TV), Hong Kong (Viu TV), Indonesia (rtv) and, of course, South Korea (Tooniverse, MBC, AniOne, Cartoon Network, among others) where it has become a real phenomenon. In addition to this, the 24 different toy lines of Bugsbot Ignition which were commercialised in South Korea reached the #2 toy sales rank in domestic sales.

APC Kids Secures International Sales for TeamTO’S Jade Armor

APC Kids, part of leading co-production and distribution group APC Studios, has secured key international sales for TeamTO’s action-comedy series Jade Armor. New deals for the 26 x 26’ series, produced by TeamTO in partnership with France Télévisions and Super RTL, include: Téléquébec (Canada); WildBrain (Canada); RTBF (Belgium), and DR (Denmark). The martial arts action-comedy series, aimed at 6-10 year olds is currently airing on Cartoon Network (EMEA), France Télévisions (France), Super RTL (Germany); ABC (Australia), and SRC (Canada).

Mattel, Inc announced an all-new animated adventure, Thomas & Friends: The Mystery of Lookout Mountain. Thomas & Friends: The Mystery of Lookout Mountain will stream globally on Netflix on Saturday, April 1. The special will first broadcast on Canada’s Treehouse TV on Sunday, April 2 (6:30 pm ET) and in the US, Cartoonito on Cartoon Network on Monday, April 3 (7:30 am ET). Tied to Autism Acceptance Month in April, the movie is the first Thomas & Friends special to feature Bruno the Brake Car, the iconic franchise’s newest friend, an autistic character who was introduced to fans in September 2022 as part of the popular Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go series.

To celebrate the upcoming launch of Sesame Street Mecha Builders, Sesame Workshop and Warner Brothers Discovery are previewing the STEM-centric animated series on YouTube. The first eleven-minute story, “Sesame Street Mecha Builders: They Sent Us a Pie,” can be found on the Sesame Street YouTube channel now.
