Garrett Sanders Joins Moose Toys as Principal Designer
Moose Toys has appointed Garrett Sander as principal designer for its Girls division.
Previously, Sander held senior positions at Mattel, where he was one of the creators of the Monster High franchise, and instrumental in the creation of the Ever After High franchise.
His diverse experience includes packaging design across multiple Girls brands as well as product leadership for brands such as Polly Pocket. In his most recent role as art director on The Mattel Creations Entertainment team, Sander oversaw the development and direction for Barbie animated content.
Steve Totzke Promoted to CCO, Mattel
Mattel has promoted Steve Totzke to the role of chief commercial officer, with oversight of a new, unified global commercial organization for Mattel, effective immediately. Totzke will report to Ynon Kreiz, Mattel’s chairman and CEO.
As CCO, Totzke will directly manage a unified global commercial organization for Mattel, working closely with Kreiz as well as Richard Dickson, Mattel’s president and chief operating officer. Partnering with regional leaders in markets around the world, Totzke will be responsible for driving continued commercial excellence for Mattel, maximizing retail partnerships, and expanding the company’s e-commerce capabilities.
Totzke has held a wide variety of leadership roles with Mattel over the course of nearly 20 years, in areas including sales, marketing, and business operations. Most recently, he served as executive vice-president and CCO, North America, with responsibility for commercial execution, sales, and merchandising strategy in the North American market. Previously, Totzke held a number of leadership roles with Mattel, including senior vice-president, sales, vice-president and general manager of Mattel’s operations in Australia and New Zealand. In addition, Totzke served as a vice-president at Spin Master in 2000–2002; prior to that he held sales and marketing roles with Mattel from 1996– January 2000.
