Funrise Taps Brunell as Global Brand Manager
Jeff Brunell was named Global Brand Manager at Funrise Toys.
Brunell brings with him more than 10 years of global brand marketing experience. Prior to joining Funrise, he worked with Warner Bros., Disney Consumer Products, Unilever, and Virgin to develop award-winning consumer marketing and branded entertainment campaigns. His specialties include developing long-term cross-platform marketing plans, steering brand strategy and driving business goals through innovative marketing activations in the entertainment and consumer products categories.
ChizComm Ups MacNeil, Hires Chisholm
ChizComm promoted Donna MacNeil to senior vice-president of marketing.
In her new role, MacNeil will oversee all marketing teams and projects, along with spearheading ChizComm business development alongside ChizComm president and CEO Harold Chizick. She previously served as vice-president and group publisher of KidScreen and senior director of communications & promotional marketing for Spin Master.
ChizComm also welcomes industry veteran, Ian Chisholm. Chisholm brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from companies such as Spin Master and Interactive
Toy. In his new role, Chisholm will use his expertise in remote control (R/C) flying, novelty and collectible toys to support all clients.
King Bee Limited Appoints Ytterbo as SVP
King Bee Limited has appointed Kirsten Ytterbo as senior vice-president to help further develops its growing children’s business in Mainland China and the Greater Asian regions.
Ytterbo has spent the past 10 years in Asia where she’s held positions at Tesco, Chris Burch’s Poppin, and at Toys “R” Us (TRU) China. Most recently, she served as the regional merchandise manager of Private Brands and Quality Assurance for TRU Hong Kong managing the Asian regions.
King Bee Limited has been a leading manufacturer and distributor of children’s toys for international brands such as Transformers, Minions, and Peppa Pig in Mainland China since 2012. In 2017, King Bee Limited expanded its master toy agreements to include Oddbods, Miffy, and Baby Riki for the Mainland China market.
