Cygielman to Join Iconix
Iconix Brand Group, Inc., announced today that Jamie Cygielman will be joining the company as executive vice-president and chief marketing officer on January 3, 2017.
Cygielman brings to Iconix over 25 years of marketing and business development experience in the fashion apparel, toy, entertainment, and cosmetics industries from companies including The Jones Group, Madame Alexander Doll Company, Madison Square Garden, Hit Entertainment, Mattel, and Revlon.
“Jamie has extensive experience in brand building, licensing, promotional partnerships, advertising, creative platform development, and digital and social media,” said John Haugh, CEO of Iconix. “And, as we discussed at our recent investor day, driving organic growth is a key component of our strategy, and Jamie’s expertise across a broad range of consumer product categories will help us maximize the full potential of our portfolio of brands.”
Woods Joins Zuru
Zuru announced that Adam Woods has joined the company as creative director. In this new role, Woods will be responsible for launching brands such as Bunch O Balloons and Robo Alive, growing existing value product lines including Xshot, and solidifying the company’s collectibles portfolio, which includes the licensed Disney Tsum Tsums line and owned brands such as Hamsters in a House.
Woods’ career spans more than 13 years in the toy industry. Most recently, he spent more than 12 years as the creative director at Moose Toys, helping to develop Shopkins, The Trash Pack, Beados, Little Live Pets, and Mighty Beanz.
Woods will be working in between Zuru’s offices in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Melbourne.
