Toon Goggles Named Kahn Chairman of the Board
Toon Goggles appointed Al Kahn, chairman of the board. Toon Goggles says that Kahn, a licensing legend and former founder of 4Kids Entertainment, generated over $15 billion in gross products sales over the course of his career.
Stephen L. Hodge, CEO, Toon Goggles, said, “Kahn will be spearheading our expansion in entertainment content, branding, marketing, and major global partnerships. He will also be responsible for helping us break into new technologies. We are thrilled to have an executive with his accomplishments join forces with us.”
Kahn is co-founder of CraneKahn, an international children’s entertainment and licensing company that focuses on products and experiences in the new economy. Kahn has been responsible for many of the biggest hits in licensing including Cabbage Patch Kids, Pokémon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Yu-Gi-Oh! He is also credited with the marketing and licensing programs for other iconic brands such as Nintendo, Mario Bros, Zelda, Donkey Kong, James Bond, World Wrestling Federation, WCW, Monster Jam Monster Trucks, Xbox, and Polly Pocket.
Beth Goss Named Chief Brand Officer at Fox Film
Variety reported exclusively last week that Beth Goss has been named chief brand officer at 20th Century Fox Film. Variety reported that, “In the newly created position, Goss will manage and try to craft opportunities for fan engagement around the Fox film brands, including current releases, library titles, and projects in development.” Read the article here.
