Lennox Joins TRU Australia
Toys “R” Us, Inc., announced the appointment of Campbell Lennox as managing director, Toys “R” Us, Australia. Lennox will oversee all operations and business activities for the company’s 34 store locations and e-commerce site, as well as provide leadership for the more than 1,700 employees throughout the country. His responsibilities will include marketing, merchandising, store operations, and customer service. Lennox will report to Monika Merz, president, Toys “R” Us, Asia Pacific. Lennox joins the company with more than 20 years of retail and management experience, including a series of roles of increasing responsibility in operations and merchandising. He most recently served as general manager, merchandise operations for Harvey Norman, an omnichannel retailer, incorporating an integrated retail, franchise, property, and digital platform.
ICTI President Takes New Position; Organization Seeks New CEO
The ICTI CARE Foundation announced the departure of its president and CEO, Christian Ewert, after 10 years of leadership. He has accepted an offer to lead a European trade association. Over the past 10 years, the ICTI CARE Process has moved from an initiative to being a well-established, internationally recognized standard that not only has created a compliance auditing organization, but has also become a leader in worker education and training.
Ewert will take up his new position at the beginning of September. A search for a new CEO will be undertaken. Frank Clarke has been seconded from Strategy XXI Partners and the ICTI CARE Foundation secretariat, to serve as acting managing director until a new CEO comes on board.
Duncan Hires Fash
Duncan Toys, a division of Flambeau, Inc., has hired Augie Fash as its sales and marketing coordinator. Fash will be responsible for marketing and sales support, team management, and assisting with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Alliance initiatives. He joins Duncan with a wealth of experience, most recently serving as a demonstration team member for the Hong Kong-based company C3 YoYoDesign.
