Promotions at American Greetings
American Greetings Properties announced three executive promotions this week. Megan Buettner has been elevated to vice-president global brands. Carla Neves has been promoted to senior manager of international licensing. Lauren Sutton has been named associate licensing manager of international licensing.
Buettner has been with American Greetings since 2005 and most recently served as creative director for the retail design and experience department. In her new role, Buettner will be responsible for the creative direction and production of all creative materials as related to AGP’s legacy brands including Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake. Located in American Greetings headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, Buettner will report to Ryan Wiesbrock, vice-president of creative.
Neves will be responsible for maintaining and growing merchandise, promotions, publishing, and retail programs with AGP’s licensed properties in Asia Pacific and Latin America. She will also play a key role in managing all aspects of brand development and strategies for Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake and new properties. Neves has been with AGP since 2008. Neves will continue to be based in AGP’s New York offices reporting to Carla Silva, vice-president of global licensing.
Sutton will be responsible for managing AGP’s licensing business across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She will be focused on continuing to expand the presence of Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, and Holly Hobbie in European markets as well as strategically enter new markets and identify growth opportunities for AGP. Sutton has been with AGP since 2009. Sutton will continue to work out of AGP’s New York offices and also reports to Silva.
