J.P. Shields Joins The Hub’s Communications Department
J.P. Shields has been named director, communications & publicity, for The Hub. He will report to Mark J. Kern, senior vice-president, communications. In this role, Shields will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic program publicity campaigns and social media initiatives that leverage the unique assets of the network and drive viewership. In addition, he will assist in implementing corporate communications initiatives to heighten the profile of The Hub through trade, business, and consumer media.
Prior to joining The Hub, Shields served as an account manager in the New York office of Bender/Helper Impact, where he was responsible for developing and executing publicity strategies for Nickelodeon, Lionsgate Family Home Entertainment, The Pokémon Company International, and CBS Consumer Products. His additional experience includes roles with JS 2 Communications, New Line Cinema, Evolution Film & Tape, and Twentieth Century Fox Television. He began his career at PMK.
Writer Jeff Kline Signs Deal with Hasbro Studios
Hasbro Studios, the Los Angeles-based television production and distribution division of Hasbro, Inc., has signed writer-executive producer Jeff Kline to a four-year series development and producing deal.
Kline has written and produced extensively for primetime while concurrently developing and showrunning more than a dozen animated series, including Jackie Chan Adventures, Men In Black: The Series, Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles, and Dragon Tales. Kline is currently the executive producer and co-developer of both Transformers: Prime and G.I. JOE: Renegades.
