Kyman Joins Sony
Darren Kyman has recently joined the Sony Pictures Consumer Products team as executive director, retail and softlines. He joins SPCP from Paramount Licensing where he was executive director, marketing and retail development. Prior to that, he held various marketing positions at MGM Consumer Products and Fox Licensing & Merchandising.
Changes at Target Entertainment
Target Entertainment announced that Oliver Ellis, Target’s director of children’s and family, and Helen Howells, commercial director, will be leaving Target Entertainment to set up their own production company. Ellis will continue to act as executive producer on Target’s upcoming preschool series (to be announced soon), while Howells will continue to support Target to ensure a strategic roll-out of the brand internationally. Ellis’ kids’ acquisition responsibilities will now be handled by Ali Hill, director of TV acquisitions and Hannah Worrall, director of sales.
Lizan Upped at ICSC
The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) announced that effective immediately, Jorge Lizan has been promoted to vice-president of business development. Lizan will continue to manage business activities and programs in Latin America, as well as other new business initiatives for ICSC globally.
He has more than 15 years experience in the real estate industry and prior to joining ICSC, he held the position of development manager of the Caribbean & Latin America region for Yum! Brands, the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell to name a few. He also worked for Carrefour, the French hypermarket chain, as national shopping center manager in Mexico.
