Australian toy maker Headstart is bringing its products to the U.S. market.
Next month, Walmart stores in the U.S. will begin carrying Headstart’s Resoftables, a range of plush toys made from recycled plastic bottles.
Additionally, Resoftables packaging is comprised of recycled cardboard.
Each nine-inch Resoftables plush repurposes approximately four recycled plastic bottles. They’re available as characters Kiki Koala, Lance Leopard, Sachi Bunny, Sammy Sloth, Sparkles Unicorn, and Sugar Rainbow Unicorn.
Since their launch in April 2020, Resoftables are now sold by retailers across Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Israel, Sweden, the U.K., and United Arab Emirates.
Headstart also introduced several licensed products, including Resoftables versions of characters from Disney, Sesame Street, Care Bears, and My Little Pony.
Building on the idea behind Resoftables, Headstart also has new items in the works for 2022 from its Replayables outdoor active toys and Rebuildables building blocks, which aim to reuse 1o million recycled plastic bottle caps by the end of this year.
