Sesame Workshop is introducing a new line of books, stories, and more featuring its Sesame Street monster Elmo and his new companion, a puppy named Tango.
Tango will make her Sesame Street debut in the animated special Furry Friends Forever: Elmo Gets a Puppy which premieres on HBO Max August 5 and on PBS Kids in 2022.
New products from Sesame Workshop partners featuring Elmo and Tango include Dance and Play Elmo and Tango from Spin Master’s plush brand Gund, Furry Friends Forever: Elmo Gets a Puppy book from Studio Fun from Studio Fun, First Look and Find: Furry Friends Forever book from PI Kids, ASO bandage boxes, and storybooks on General Mills Sesame Street cereals.
Families can also expect to see more Tango books from Random House Children’s Books, Lerner Publishing Group, and Bendon; organic toddler snacks from Earth’s Best; custom apparel and pillowcases from CPS; t-shirts from Trevco; apparel from Children’s Apparel Network; toddler bedding and nap mats from NoJo; toddler footwear from SG Companies; and customized products from Zazzle.
In the upcoming Furry Friends Forever: Elmo Gets a Puppy special, Elmo and Grover discover a stray puppy and set out on adventure to find her a new home at the adoption fair. After giving her the name Tango and learning how to take care of her along the way, Elmo realizes that she belongs with him on 123 Sesame Street.
