Moose Toys announced the August 1 launch of its newest addition to the Scruff-a-Luvs interactive toys — Cutie Cuts plush pets that kids can rescue, groom, and take care of.
Cutie Cuts feature clipper accessories that allow kids to style fur and pretend play as pet groomers; they can “shave” off the matted hair and reveal which breed they rescued. The clippers look and feel authentic, but don’t actually cut, making them safe for kids. The styling kit also includes hair clips, comb, a collar, and nail polish.
“We have all seen or experienced little kids getting their hands on scissors and cutting their own bangs or shaving their sibling’s hair, so we know that real-life grooming is really appealing,” said Alex Ries, senior vice president and head of U.S. marketing, Moose Toys. “With Cutie Cuts we are putting kids in charge of the styling experience with a realistic feeling, kid-safe electric ‘clippers,’ while staying true to the Scruff-a-Luvs experience of rescuing and nurturing we know kids and parents love.”
Scruff-a-Luvs is a brand within Little Live Pets, the number one property in the Youth Electronics Supercategory, according to The NPD Group.
