Licensing International named four students as the recipients of its inaugural Licensing International Scholarships.
This year’s recipients are Shaina Hershberg, LIM College, 2022; Clay Lute, LIM College, 2023; Daliya Khalikova, LIM College Graduate Program; and Magali Souffrant, New York University, 2025.
Directed by the Licensing International Foundation, the program grants scholarships to deserving individuals interested in pursuing a career in brand licensing. Students working toward degrees in business, marketing, design, engineering, entrepreneurial studies, e-commerce, and other brand licensing industry-related fields are eligible.
“The scholarship program is a key element of Licensing International’s mission to inspire the next generation of talent globally while advancing the understanding of licensing in society,” said Maura Regan, President of Licensing International. “We are thrilled to award the inaugural Licensing International scholarships to these four outstanding students.”
The program is funded by direct donations from the brand licensing community and the creation of Named/Sponsored Scholarships from donors looking to celebrate their commitment to education and the licensing industry.
Two of the students, Hershberg and Lute, were awarded the “Handcraft Scholarship” sponsored by Handcraft Manufcaturing.
“Handcraft is honored to be able to help bolster the licensing industry by helping to encourage and support the next generation of licensing professionals,” said Marshall Mizrahi, Vice President of Handcraft Manufacturing Corp. “We recognized the importance of bringing in new young talent and what that would mean for the overall success of our industry.”
