Clarkson Potter, a division of Penguin Random House, will publish the second Masterchef Junior cookbook.
Masterchef Junior Bakes! will include a foreword written by Masterchef Junior judge Christina Tosi, the chef, founder and owner of Milk Bar.
The 100 recipes in MasterChef Junior Bakes! celebrate creativity, technique and embrace simple-to-sophisticated and sweet-to-savory baked goods. Young bakers will learn how to cream butter for Vanilla Bean Sugar Cookies, shallow-fry dough for Glazed Jelly Doughnuts with Powdered Sugar, whip a silky chocolate ganache for German Chocolate Cupcakes with Ganache Filling, and knead dough for cheesy Garlic Knots.
The cookbook will include the winning cupcake challenge recipe from this season’s contestants Malia and Jaala. Their recipe is for Orange Spice Doodle Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream frosting. Other recipes are Apple Butter Bundt Cake with Cinnamon-Sugar, Chocolate Chunk Cookies, Peach Melba Pavlova with Yogurt Whipped Cream, and more.
This cookbook will offer baking guidance and know-how, insider info from Masterchef Junior alumni and photographs of show moments. The book is for home bakers of all ages and skill levels.
