Moose Toys Signs Licensing Shop for Treasure X
Moose Toys announced that it has signed with The Licensing Shop Inc. (TLS) to launch a licensing program based on their new toy sensation Treasure X in the U.S. and Canadian markets.
Treasure X toys launched in July of this year and the sales are exceeding expectations, according to Moose. Treasure X is an unboxing experience combining elements of digging, treasure hunting, collecting, and great storytelling. Treasure X contains 10 levels of adventure and the chance to find real gold inside. The first season launches with 24 high quality collectible characters and eight gold treasures to collect.
The toys are supported with a multifaceted marketing campaign including television and digital advertising, webisodes, social media, and more. The first Treasure X webisode is now live with another seven to be released prior to holiday.
The licensing program is planned to roll-out a year after the toy launch in the back-to-school window of 2019. Publishing, trading cards and board game categories will lead the way, followed by apparel, bags, stationery and accessories.
TOMY Named Master Toy Partner for eOne’s Ricky Zoom
Entertainment One (eOne) is strengthening its slate of preschool properties with the addition of new preschool animated TV series, Ricky Zoom, which will be showcased at this year’s Brand Licensing Europe and MIPCOM.
From the producers of PJ Masks, Ricky Zoom is a CGI action comedy adventure series that follows the adventures of Ricky, a little red motorbike with a zest for speed. The show is all about friendship, family and learning to stand on your own two wheels. A born leader, Ricky is joined by an enthusiastic group of young bikes, Scootio, Loop and DJ, who live in Wheelford, a town tailor-made for bikes because here, the bikes are the people! Life with Ricky Zoom and his friends is always full of fun, comedy and excitement.
Ricky Zoom debuted at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival earlier this year and broadcasters are already on board to air the show across multiple territories including Gulli in France, RAI in Italy, and Discovery Kids in Latin America. The first season is set to premiere from spring/summer 2019.
Building on the broadcast platform, eOne is now assembling a consumer products program and appointed TOMY International, as global master toy partner with products set to launch from fall/winter 2019.
20th Century Fox, Reebok Team Up for Predator
Reebok and Extra Butter are teaming up for a special DMX Run 10 sneakers inspired by the Predator franchise.
The shoes features abstract lenticular camo used on the upper, nods to the Predator’s invisibility cloak it uses to creep up on its prey. The inner tongues features “over here” and “turn around” printed in the Predator’s native language, and yellow mesh detailing draws inspiration from the Predator’s non-combat attire. A special “spine trophy” tag hangs from the laces, nodding to one of the most gorily iconic parts of the movie. The translucent midsole overlays and outsole get in on the commemorative fun as well, with the former featuring hand-scrawled military coordinates and the latter boasting glow in the dark graphics with a splatter pattern — acknowledging the final scene of the film.
The packaging also features a thermal vision-style print and hidden messages for die-hard fans of the franchise.
The shoes are available at Extra Butter, Reebok.com, and select Reebok sellers worldwide.
