Traveler’s Choice Signed for Beverly Hills Country Club
The Beverly Hills Country Club (BHCC) lifestyle brand, through its business development firm Brand Sense Partners (BSP), has partnered with Traveler’s Choice for a line of luggage and travel accessories.
BSP plans to extend the BHCC lifestyle brand throughout Europe, Asia, South America, and North America. Product categories will include apparel, footwear, fashion accessories, swimwear, optical, fragrance & beauty, bedding & bath textiles, tabletop, home furnishings & décor, furniture, and luggage & travel accessories.
ToyQuest Revs Up Partnership with Hot Wheels
ToyQuest has signed a multi-year strategic licensing agreement with Mattel’s Hot Wheels to launch a new line of electronic motorized vehicles. The new product line will include recreations of some of the most desired and collected Hot Wheels models including the Twin Mill III, Rat Bomb, and Arachnorod. Starting this fall, the Hot Wheels electronic motorized vehicles will be available at major retailers nationwide including Walmart, Target, Toys “R” Us, and Kmart.
Dairy4Fun Signs with Gormiti
Giochi Preziosi, Plus Licens, and Marathon Media announced that Dairy4Fun is to be the latest name to join the list of Gormiti licensees. Dairy4Fun completed a deal to endorse the Gormiti TV series with kids’ dairy products in Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovak Republic. Each Dairy4Fun snack will contain a Gormiti-inspired novelty for children to enjoy and collect, and the promotion will be supported by a TV marketing campaign.
Two New Apps on the way from Discovery Kids
Discovery Communications and Rocketfuel Games announced two apps for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch—Seek Your Own Proof: Agent Arcade and Seek Your Own Proof: Field Missions. The apps are based on the virtual community and game Seek Your Own Proof, which can be found at www.Discoverykids/seekyourownproof.
Seek Your Own Proof: Agent Arcade expands on the activities featured in the online game and allows kids to take on new mini-games through a mobile gaming experience.
Discovery Kids will debut the Seek Your Own Proof: Field Missions app later this spring. It is a puzzle adventure game that enables young museumgoers to investigate mysteries in a real world setting. New missions at museums, exhibitions, and cities across the U.S. and Canada will be added monthly for in-app download and purchase. Seek Your Own Proof: Field Missions will be available from the Apple iTunes App Store and will be free for a limited time only at launch.
IDW Announces New Comic Series Based on the Original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
At WonderCon in San Francisco, IDW and Nickelodeon announced a long-term agreement to offer an all-new installment of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) comics and graphic novels. Starting this summer, IDW’s comic series will bring the TMNT back into action. Additionally, in fourth quarter 2012, Nickelodeon will premiere a new CG-animated version of the franchise.
Konami Announces Metal Gear Clothing Line
Konami Digital Entertainment announced a partnership to launch a branded clothing line for men based on its Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) system. The clothing line was created in partnership with musterbrand LLC, a global design group focused on bringing digital creations to the real world. Available for purchase online in the U.S. and Canada beginning on April 11, the collection, featuring well-known Peace Walker images, will include coats, sweatshirts, pants, T-shirts, and hats, all inspired by clothing worn by characters in the game. Additional items in the clothing line will be released quarterly and surrounding certain special events throughout the year.
Kurt Adler to Launch New Line of Yellow Submarine Ornaments
Kurt S. Adler announced a licensing agreement with Apple Corps Ltd. brokered by Live Nation Merchandise, The Beatles’ North American licensing agent. This new agreement will include light sets, stockings, and a variety of holiday ornaments. The initial set offered in the deal features ornaments of John, Paul, George, and Ringo, each as his cartoon counterpart, true to the animation style of Yellow Submarine.
