American Greetings Stationery Deal in Italy
American Greetings Properties (AGP) announced that it will be working with stationery licensee Cartorama to produce all-new Care Bears and Twisted Whiskers branded products for the Italian market. Some of the new products that will be introduced include Care Bears and Twisted Whiskers branded notebooks and folders, agendas, plush gifts, backpacks, and many other stationery and back-to-school items. Cartorama will additionally be launching two separate Care Bears programs for children and teens, plus a line of Care Bears greeting cards in 2011.
Lisa Marks Assoc. Signs My Friend Ronnie
Lisa Marks Associates, Inc. (LMA) has signed on to extend the licensing program for women’s humor property, My Friend Ronnie.
Currently, the My Friend Ronnie program has strong partners in key categories, including: gift plaques and mini-plaques, sold at Macy’s, from Enesco/Department 56; a greeting card collection from Leanin’ Tree; TF Publishing’s 2012 wall and appointment calendars; woodmount and clear stamps from Inky Antics Rubber Stamps; and framed prints, jewelry boxes, and mugs from Personal Creations. LMA will round out the licensing program to include apparel and accessories, publishing, stationery, party goods, tabletop, holiday, and more.

DeLorean Signs More Licensees
DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) recently announced additional licensing partnerships, which now include Nike, Mattel, Sun Star, Gateway Global, Microsoft, and Now & Zen apparel to produce an exclusive array of toys, T-shirts, and footwear employing the DeLorean trademark.
In accordance to the terms of the agreements, DeLorean will collaborate with each licensee to design, market, and sell all DeLorean partnered products, including the release of the special edition DeLorean Nike Dunk.
Since its debut in 1981 DeLorean has earned its place in pop-culture iconography. The sport cars’ easily recognizable gull-wing doors, stainless steel body, and rear-mounted engine has appeared in movies, video games, and television shows. It may be best known for its role as the unlikely time machine featured in the Back to the Future film trilogy.
New Licensees for It’s Happy Bunny
CopCorp Licensing announced Dalmatian Corporation and Winner Wireless as the two newest U.S. licensees for Jim Benton’s It’s Happy Bunny brand.
Dalmatian Corporation has been granted the right to manufacture and market It’s Happy Bunny Adult and Teen One-Piece Sleepwear. Winner Wireless has been granted the right to make and sell a variety of It’s Happy Bunny Cell Phone Accessories including (hard and soft) covers, neckstraps, and charms.
CNE Extends Disguise’s Bakugan Deal
Cartoon Network Enterprises and Disguise (a division of Jakks Pacific), announced the extension of their licensing agreement for the boys’ brand, Bakugan. Through the two-year deal extension, Disguise will continue to produce a full range of kids’ Halloween costumes based on Nelvana Enterprises and Spin Master Ltd.’s Bakugan brand. The Bakugan Gundalian Invaders costumes will be available across all tiers of retail in time for Halloween 2011.
Bakugan is a joint effort by Sega Toys, Spin Master, Nelvana Enterprises, TMS Entertainment, Japan Vistec, and Sega Corporation, with animation by Japan Vistec and TMS Entertainment.
