Ghostforce, a new action-comedy series from animation studio ZAG, arrives on Disney Channel in the U.S. this month.
The first episode premiered October 4 on Disney XD, with additional episodes debuting weekdays at 7:30 p.m. EDT through October 15.
Created by ZAG founder and CEO Jeremy Zag, Ghostforce is a supernatural series aimed at kids 6 to 10, about three junior high school students who form a secret team to defend their city from ghosts that are haunting it.
“Disney is the ideal home for our newest series, Ghostforce, that will be enjoyed by boys and girls alike,” said Jeremy Zag. “We are so grateful to all of our partners —TF1, Disney Channel, and Playmates — for helping us bring this original new series to life.”
Zag added that the series first debuted on France’s TF1 channel in August of this year with an audience share of over 35%.
“[Ghostforce] is already resonating with kids as we are seeing tons of activity increasing across social media channels,” Zag said.
Disney Channel has licensed episodes for North America, Japan, and India, on top of the additional deals with Disney Channel EMEA, Russia, and the Middle East.
In addition fo France, the series also launched in Germany and Israel, with more territories to begin airing the show throughout the fall.
And for 2022, a new toy line for the series is now in the works from ZAG Labs and Playmates Toys.
