Kidz Bop’s 20th anniversary celebrations this year continue with a joint Kidz Bop and LEGO VIDIYO video series and fan sweepstakes. The new videos premiere June 4 on Kidz Bop’s YouTube channel.
LEGO VIDIYO is an augmented reality music video creation app launched in March, allowing children to create and customize their own music videos with LEGO bricks and figures. Users can choose from tracks by Universal Music Group’s popular artists.
Two new videos launch from the collaboration this month. In the first, called “Behind the Scenes with LEGO VIDIYO,” Kidz Bop Kids Alana and Ayden show how they direct their own music video by scanning in their Bandmates and picking out BeatBit Effects.
The following Friday, June 11, will be the premiere of a music video shot entirely with the LEGO VIDIYO app, entitled “‘U Can’t Touch This’ Dance Along with LEGO Vidiyo.” The AR music video will feature the Kidz Bop kids with a guest appearance from Bandmate Party Llama and various BeatBit effects.
In the fan sweepstakes, one grand prize winner will receive an opportunity to appear in a Kidz Bop video. Secondary winners will receive prize packs from Kidz Bop and the LEGO Group.
