American Girl, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mattel, Inc., announced a new album as the brand celebrates 35 years. The first digital collection under Mattel’s partnership with Warner Music Group’s Arts Music Division, the album — entitled “Get Up & Dance” — highlights some of American Girl’s most popular characters. Tracks include “Kira’s Australian Adventure,” a song about American Girl’s 2021 Girl of the Year, Kira Bailey, and the commemorative song “Happy Birthday, American Girl” to celebrate the brand’s 35th anniversary.
“Get Up & Dance” is now available on all digital download and streaming services. In addition, several music videos are also available from the album on American Girl’s YouTube channel.
“Get Up & Dance” reinforces the positive messages the brand stands for with songs like “Julie Can Change The World,” “Maryellen Just Being Me,” and “Lift Your Voice with Melody,” among others.
