The Toy Association’s Toy Industry Foundation is seeking a Foundation Development and Events Manager.
In this role, he/she will be responsible for fundraising and development, reporting, event management (which includes some travel), and program assistance. This professional is also responsible for providing staff support to the executive director in the overall management of the Foundation. This is an exempt position.
The Development and Events Manager will:
- Manage fundraising/development campaigns:
- Craft Leaders Circle, online and annual giving appeals
- Manage acknowledgement, tracking analysis and follow up of donors
- Oversee day to day stewardship of individual and company contributors
- Develop corporate sponsorship opportunities and initiate new revenue streams
- Liaise with Fundraising Committee and manage efforts including year-end TOTY Tribute Book ad sales process
- Direct design and execution of TOTY Tribute Book
- Captain auctions efforts
- Assist Senior Manager with in-kind solicitations for Toy Bank program for special events
- Assist Senior Manager with planning and executing toy distribution, volunteer, and media events in relation to TIF programs.
- Manage marketing and coordination of any new TIF development programs
- Spearhead innovative industry and public fundraising campaigns to achieve results for TIF
- Assist with creation of social media campaigns to highlight TIF’s work and cultivate new donors
- Assist with content development
- Build a brand following
- Monitor relevant data, trends, successes, and areas of improvement
- Assist Senior Manager with monthly financials and data entry to ensure reconciliation with TIA accounting
- Create and manage production of TIF Annual Report
- Assist ED with special projects
- Participate in company, industry and partner events, shows (i.e. Toy Fair) on an as-needed basis.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 + years’ work experience
- Strong project management, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Experience with corporate and individual giving, and online fundraising preferred
- Highly detail-oriented while managing multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Fundraising or sales experience preferred
- Experience with social media platforms
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be energetic, results-oriented and possess a passion for philanthropy
- Must have driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle
- Travel required up to 20%
