Felt Right, a company that turns single-use plastic water bottles into beautiful, acoustic felt wall tiles, announced that it has signed a global licensing agreement with the best-selling video game of all time, Minecraft, to develop a collection of wall art.
“We are so excited to partner with Minecraft to create this collection,” said Talley Goodson, Felt Right founder. “For 15 years, Minecraft has encouraged its community to explore and pursue infinite design possibilities. We are bringing this sense of exploration and possibility into our design process, creating dozens of products to appeal to Minecraft fans of all ages.”
Felt Right’s Minecraft collection features 44 SKUs, including designs based on popular characters such asCreepers, Zombies, and Steve. In addition to Felt Right’s standard 38-color palette, the Minecraft collection also includes five exclusive colors: Caramel, Grass, Toffee, Emerald, and Fresh Lime. Each product in theMinecraft collection will come packaged as the full design.
Additional Felt Right tiles outside of the collection can be effortlessly customized to create limitless design possibilities. Users can choose from thousands of pre-made designs or create their own patterns in the company’s Design Studio.Tiles are sound-dampening, absorbing roughly 35% of the sound they come in contact with, pinnable, easy to install, and can also be uninstalled damage-free.
The tiles are made from at least 50% recycled plastic, which equates to four water bottles kept out ofthe waste stream for every tile that is created. To date, Felt Right has removed 5.5 million water bottlesfrom the world’s oceans
