Spin Master, a leading global children’s entertainment company, announces a second flurry of North American licensing agreements for its fantasy adventure franchise Unicorn Academy, premiering in November on Netflix. Audiences will be transported to a magical world as they follow Sophia on her journey from ordinary to extraordinary – as she discovers her unexpected destiny as a unicorn rider, with a 72-minute movie premiere event and episodic content streaming globally.
Ready to deliver the magic of the franchise to a highly engaged 6-9-year-old core audience, the company has inked consumer products deals in North America with Bentex (Fashion), Rubies (Halloween costumes), Kid Designs (Kids electronics), HER Accessories (jewelry and accessories), Inkology (back to school and stationary), H2W Sunstaches (novelty eyewear) and Tattoo Fun (temporary tattoos). Products will begin to hit shelves in 2024.
“We’re thrilled to be expanding the Unicorn Academy experience through trend-forward lifestyle and back to school products, developed with our best-in-class partners,” said André Lake Mayer, Spin Master’s SVP Global Strategic Partnerships & Consumer Products.
In addition to the licensed consumer product program underway, Spin Master will debut a wide-ranging toy line in 2024 and digital game that encapsulates the magic and fantasy of the series, allowing for a fully connected story world and multiple ways for our fans to engage with Unicorn Academy. “We are building a franchise and an eco-system that opens the possibility to become the undeniable true home of unicorns,” adds André Lake Mayer.
