Disguise, Inc, the leading costume division of toy and consumer products manufacturer, JAKKS Pacific, Inc (NASDAQ:JAKK), has announced a partnership extension in the U.S. and expansion into Latin America (LATAM) to design, market, manufacture and distribute costumes, costume accessories, inflatables, adaptive costumes and trunk-or-treat kits for Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) characters and franchises commencing in 2023.
This new agreement encompasses several brands in the UP&E portfolio including Illumination’s Despicable Me, Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic World, DreamWorks Animation’s Gabby’s Dollhouse, How to Train your Dragon, and Trolls, as well as The Office, Where’s Waldo/Where’s Wally and Universal Monsters; additionally characters like Chucky will be included in the Funko POP! mask line.
With its extensive range of beloved and iconic characters, UP&E offers a remarkable selection of brands to develop for role-play and dress-up. The inclusion of new properties in the Disguise portfolio and the expansion of this partnership to include LATAM opens up even more possibilities for development and distribution.
