Schleich (pronounced Shh-like) is asking fans to channel their storytelling superpowers in a musical direction this spring. The leading manufacturer of animal characters and playsets that let kids’ imaginations run wild is seeking songs and stories that celebrate the magic of spring and Easter. Starting with a consumer call-for-entries which kicks off today, one lucky fan will ultimately have his or her song or story turned into a music video by The Hippity Hops, Schleich’s very own musical storytelling band!
“We are reminded constantly by our fans that storytelling comes in many different forms,” said Kelli Masilun, director of marketing for Schleich USA. “We receive thousands of stories from kids and some of our favorites are set to music. We can’t wait to see what the kids and The Hippity Hops come up with!”
Made up of four bunnies with wildly colored ears, The Hippity Hops love setting stories to music. In March, Schleich fans can look forward to a series of videos on the brand’s YouTube and social media channels during which the “bunny band” will share more about musical storytelling. Then, in April, the band will drop its debut music video, inspired by the submission of one lucky contest winner. Ten contest finalists will also receive Schleich gift packs.
Kids are encouraged to visit bit.ly/hippityhops between now and February 28, and share a song or story all about Easter fun and springtime magic. The Hippity Hops can’t wait to see if kids will belt out a ballad about the Easter Bunny’s beauteous bounty of baskets, or perhaps teach a tune about a taco-loving tarantula that can’t get enough of tulips! Entries can be submitted as videos, audio files, or text.
