After what has been a tough year, this holiday season is a welcome relief for many. It is a time for them to come together with their friends and family, take a break and celebrate. However, following two years of uncertainty some are still doing it tough, which was the reason two leading Australian organisations decided to come together and make Christmas a little easier on struggling families.
Moose Toys, one of Australia’s leading toy companies and Hinkler, an independent publisher famous for books, crafts, puzzles and games are both based in Melbourne and between them they are donating almost 10,000 toys and books to beneficiaries, including the Monash Children’s Hospital, Eat Up, Igniting Change, Katalyst Foundation, Mirabel Foundation, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and the Refugee and Asylum Seeker Toy Drive.
“As we worked with our local community partners, we recognised the opportunity to extend our reach and impact by partnering with another local, like-minded organisation. Our partnership with Hinkler has been exhilarating and rewarding with our companies joining forces to support some of the most amazing local charities. United by the mission of making children superhappy, the impact of our product donations and our teams’ time will bring moments of joy to those most in need as we head into the holiday season” said Belinda Gruebner, CMO and Head of the Moose Happy Kids Foundation.
“What a joy it has been working with these amazing charities delivering such incredible support to our local communities. Being able to unite with a powerhouse like Moose Toys and working with their big-hearted team, has been such a pleasure. Together we unite to create spontaneity and joy in as many little people as we possibly can, and we are so grateful for these opportunities to create moments of happiness” said Nadika Garber, CEO at Hinkler.
Through these fantastic partnerships, the goods have been distributed around the country and will be sure to bring the superhappy to Aussie kids this year.
Jane Tewson from Igniting Change said of their impact: “The donation of toys and books from Moose Toys and Hinkler Publishing have us all overwhelmed. They high quality, educational toys which are bringing so many smiles to children who don’t usually have the opportunity to access such high quality goods. They are truly the best. Yesterday the Collingwood flats playgroup were abuzz with joy, not to mention the families supported by AfriCause in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs and the families visited by Stonnington Maternal Health Nurses. The gifts from Moose and Hinkler are reaching places others aren’t, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
