People of Play (PoP) released the list of finalists for the TAGIE Awards to honor the top innovators, designers, and marketers in the toy and game industry.
Public voting on the winners is now open through October 31 on the PoP website.
PoP added two categories to the awards this year — Most Innovative Licensed Product and Game Changers.
Winners in each of the 10 categories will be honored at a virtual show on November 19. Admission is free and attendees must RSVP.
“We all thought 2020 was going to be the most challenging year. Yet, 2021 is here and we still have hurdles to jump through. The feats pulled off by members of the toy industry constantly amaze us over at People of Play.” said TAGIE awards host Karri Bean. “You all inspire us daily. The TAGIEs are our opportunity to give back and celebrate these accomplishments. Mark your calendar for the awards show and get ready to pop your champagne!”
In addition to Most Innovative Licensed Product and Game Changers, the 2021 TAGIEs will recognize winners in the categories of Toy Innovator of the Year, Game Innovator of the Year, Rising Star Innovator of the Year, Young Inventor of the Year, Innovative Art and Visuals of the Year, Innovative PR & Marketing Team of the Year, Most Innovative Retailer, and Most Innovative Supplier.
