The Toy Association has decided to postpone Toy Fair Dallas 2020 and Toy Fair New York 2021, it announced in a letter from Toy Association President Steve Pasierb.
Due to ongoing developments in the COVID-19 pandemic in the state of Texas, the Dallas Market Center (DMC), site of the annual Toy Fair Dallas, is unable to host the event this year. The Toy Association plans to host the next Toy Fair Dallas show at the DMC in October of 2021.
Based on exhibitor and retail buying community feedback along with facts related to the pandemic and the state of business travel, The Toy Association also elected to postpone Toy Fair New York. The Toy Association is developing with its members a Toy Fair offering for the spring of 2021 and Toy Fair in the expanded Javits Center taking place in 2022.
The Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards and Hall of Fame induction will be held virtually for 2021.
The Toy Association will announce specific show dates for both spring 2021 and February 2022 later this September.
