Little Tikes expands product portfolio to create the LEV LOVE system for doctors and patients to help fight the spread of COVID-19. The first two LEV LOVE items are the LEV LOVE Care Provider Mask for Doctors and the LEV LOVE Ventilator Mask for Patients, both will begin production this week.
“The creative design and engineering team at MGA’s Little Tikes division, worked day and night, and in coordination with the top doctors at UCLA, to complete LEV LOVE,” said Isaac Larian, CEO of MGA Entertainment, which owns Little Tikes. “It is a phenomenal effort and I AM PROUD of the determination and effort that the team showed.”
Little Tikes will donate the first batch of LEV LOVE doctor masks and patient ventilator masks to hospitals around the country as part of Operation Pac-Man. The Lev Love System is comprised of two different masks. The Lev Love Care Provider Mask is designed to be reused and will allow frontline care providers to protect themselves for extended periods of time while allowing care providers to deliver lifesaving services. The Lev Love Ventilator Mask was created as an interim first step before a patient requires intubation, assisting the patients with his or her own breathing.
Operation Pac-Man is a non-profit organization that MGAE Cares started just two weeks ago in response to worldwide shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) among healthcare workers and hospitals. It is a worldwide effort that will deliver PPE to front line hospital workers around the world. Operation Pac-Man kicked off with a $5 million donation of L.O.L Surprise! sales (the No. 1 toy brand worldwide). In that short period of time, MGAE has air freighted and distributed, for free, more than 100,000 PPE devices to frontline health workers around the country.
“There are more PPE supplies on the way, and they will arrive in the coming weeks,” said Larian. “We also recognize kids who are enduring the impact of COVID-19 and have donated tens of thousands of toys to the front-line for healthcare workers’ kids and to the children who are sick and in hospitals.”
Stated Larian: “We are fortunate to have the No. 1 and No. 2 toy brands in the toy industry (L.O.L Surprise! and Little Tikes). It brings great pleasure to give back to those who are fighting so hard against COVID-19. Throughout the span of six decades, I have discovered that the more I give, the more I get. That’s how nature works. We will continue to give more at MGAE.”
