Artworks! Licensing has merged with Jewel Branding & Licensing (JBL), helping to solidify JBL’s position as a leading agency for art and design-based licensing. The agency has also grown with the expansion of a new creative services division.
Artworks! Licensing was founded by Carol White in 2005 and has grown to a portfolio of artists who are already licensed in a wide range of product categories. As part of the merger, Carol White, president of Artworks! Licensing, has joined Jewel Branding & Licensing as vice-president of art licensing and brings 10 new artists to JBL’s client roster. White has enjoyed an extensive 25-plus year career in art licensing as both an agent and licensee, with particular expertise in gift, stationery and home décor.
JBL has also established a creative services division, which provides manufacturers and retailers with a suite of services and assets to streamline the design, development, and go-to-market processes. Launched in 2018, JBL Creative Services offers trend forecasting, creative direction, design and product development, packaging design and retail execution with services that are tailored to each individual client. The division is spearheaded by licensing and design industry veteran, Meredith Counts. Counts is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and has held licensing and design positions with Bravado Merchandising Group, Angel Sanchez, and the New York Botanical Garden.
