Bratz Web Series to Debut on 10-10-10

On October 10, 2010, MGA Entertainment will unveil the first Bratz webisode from its new web series, Bratz Rock. Comprised of 11 episodes scheduled to air throughout the rest of the year, the web series follows Bratz girls Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha, and Jade as they get the chance to be stars in a song contest held by their idol, super-celebrity Whisper. But as the Bratz get closer to finishing a song for the contest, they also get closer to finding out who Whisper really is.

The first episode of Bratz Rock, entitled “Whispers in the Schoolyard” launches exclusively on the front page of www.YouTube.com on 10-10-10.

Additionally, MGA Entertainment continues to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary by introducing 10 new Bratz dolls. The Bratz anniversary line welcomes Carrie, Adri, Shira, Shadi, Tyla, Ashby, Lydia, Joelle, Lilliana, and Leora on October 10, 2010. Each doll, complete with an individual personality and unique outfit, will feature new points of articulation, making them more poseable.

Dena Designs and Gund Partner on Happi Soft Toys

Dena, the designer behind Dena Designs, and GUND are launching a full range of developmental activity plush toys based on designs from the happi by Dena line. The new line, which features brightly colored plush characters that help toddlers identify numbers, shapes, colors, and textures, will be showcased at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas, October 10–13, 2010, in the Dena Designs booth.

HIT and Russ Berrie Collaborate on Barney Plush Line

HIT Entertainment has entered into a licensing deal for the first time with Russ Berrie Company, granting it the rights to manufacture and market a full line of plush toys based on Barney and his dino friends BJ, Baby Bop, and Riff. The Barney plush toys will be available in the U.S. starting this fall in specialty markets and then rolling out to all retailers in 2011.

Russ Berrie plans to develop, manufacture, and market a variety of plush toys for children including plush with features (interactive, moving, talking, and singing); plush puppets; plush beanies; plush key chains, plush backpack clips; and plush bookmarks.
