Management Changes at Schleich
Schleich North America, Inc., has announced new organizational changes that will enhance the growth of its sales in Canada and the United States.
In recent years, Schleich has made a commitment to the growth of the North American market and these new changes will further that expansion. Matthew Dawes has left his position as executive vice-president of sales and marketing Schleich North America. Don Rothwell, sales manager U.S., will now have complete responsibilities for the U.S. market and Marc Ethier, sales manager Canada, will have complete responsibilities for the Canadian Market. Both Rothwell and Ethier will report directly to Walter Haack, president of Schleich North America, Inc., and Schleich head of global sales.
Honig Upped at G.S. Schwartz
G.S. Schwartz & Co. announced the appointment of Rachel Lyn Honig to COO. Honig, a 12-year veteran of the organization, was previously a managing director. In her new role, she will have responsibility for short and long-term strategic, organizational, and financial achievements at Schwartz, which was founded in 1981.
As co-founder and COO of Digital Power and Light, G.S. Schwartz & Co’s sister digital marketing consultancy, she helps clients harness the power of digital communications to build their brands and communicate with their customers. Digital Power and Light develops Web 3.0, social media, and social news aggregation programs, among others.
Prior to joining G.S. Schwartz & Co, she served under Governor George E. Pataki as special assistant to the chairman and director of special projects at the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).
Gillespie Appointed at Nuk
Jarden Home and Family, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jarden Corp., announced that Doug Gillespie has joined the company as president of its Nuk USA division. As president, Gillespie will be charged with accelerating the growth of the brand and strategically expanding its presence in both the U.S. and Canada.
“This is an important appointment for Nuk as we continue to strengthen our core pacifier and bottle businesses and build market-leading positions in adjacent segments,” said Eric Perrot, president and CEO of Jarden Home and Family in a statement. “As a proven leader in the industry, Doug brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the job and we are excited to welcome him to the Jarden Home and Family team.”
Prior to joining Nuk, Gillespie spent six years as head of marketing for juvenile products manufacturer Munchkin, Inc. Prior to Munchkin, he held key marketing and management positions with GE Capital, Frito-Lay, E•Trade Financial Corporation, and Brown-Forman Corporation.
