In KidZ, a South-Asian female-owned kids educational tech, consumer product, and multi-media company, is collaborating with the iconic children’s brand Sesame Street to introduce new activity boxes debuting this fall.
The themed educational boxes, which could center around holidays or cooking, for example, will contain coloring and activity books, puzzles, games, recipe cards, and figurines. Children will be fully engaged with hands-on learning while exploring various cultures and traditions and practicing mindfulness activities.
“Teaching kids and their families about inclusion while celebrating the diversity that surrounds them will help children learn kindness and empathy,” said In KidZ Founder Dr. Zabina Bhasin, M.D. “We wanted to facilitate kids having a screen-free opportunity to know and celebrate the diverse holidays and traditions from around the globe. Our goal is to encourage kids, families, and schools to celebrate and understand the things that make us different and the same so we can feel more connected. To have the opportunity to work with a brand like Sesame Street, which paved the way for this type of learning, is profound. In this wonderful opportunity, I hope I can help pave the way for other female founders, especially those focused on making the world a better place. We are so excited and grateful.”
“At Sesame Street, we know playful learning that lays the foundation for children to become creative and engaged learners for life,” said Gabriela Arenas, SVP of Global Products Licensing, Sesame Workshop. “We’re thrilled to team up with In Kidz to celebrate our diverse world and encourage children to feel confident and proud of who they are and find joy in connecting with and learning about others.”
The In KidZ Sesame Street boxes will be available directly to consumers at InKidzCo.com and at select national retailers.
