NERF’s turning up the heat on social media with two exciting new campaigns. For the first time ever, NERF has entered the NIL space by teaming up with 12 of the nation’s top NCAA athletes for NERF BLITZ! – a fun, two-leg relay race that puts these all-stars to the test, furthering the brand’s expansion into action sports.
Competing with the brand’s all-new, hot holiday gift, the NERF Elite 2.0 Motoblitz Blaster, participants including Sedona Prince, Paige Bueckers, Jon Seaton, A.J. Henning, Armando Bacot and RJ Davis will be ranked based on their completion speed time. The person with the fastest time wins the ultimate prize, getting to douse the losing opponent with a NERF Super Soaker!
NERF BLITZ! is a “real,” non-scripted competition that captures quick, priceless, light-competition moments of all-stars who are also close friends. Whether it be mid-game, in the cafeteria or locker room, NERF BLITZ! captures authentic down-time moments of teammates having fun with NERF both on and off the field. The exciting content is available to watch today on the athletes’ social channels – see below for the full lineup of participants and their content. As part of the campaign, NERF and its roster of college athletes will donate products to select charity organizations in their local communities.
The NERF BLITZ! participants have started posting their content, and fans can expect more NERF BLITZ! content to be dropping throughout the week on athletes’ social channels.
Additionally, NERF is continuing to make waves on social media with NBA All-Star, Luka Dončić. Whether he’s tossing a no-look cross-court pass that defies the laws of physics, or using his AI alter ego to rate impossible trick shots on TikTok, Luka plays with reality on and off the court. Now he’s bringing these reality-bending powers to life in an unexpected way to also promote the new NERF Elite 2.0 Motoblitz and Viper Strike blasters ahead of the holidays. Leveraging a relatively new AI imaging technology – NeRFs (Neural radiance fields) – real-world content shots were transformed into immersive 3D environments, to showcase Luka and the NERF blasters in a way neither of them have been seen before – kind of like you’re tapping into the Matrix to capture a moment frozen in time.
