The Pokémon Company International will return to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for its 22nd consecutive year on Thursday, Nov. 24, in New York City. To kick off the holiday season, Pikachu and Eevee will soar among Manhattan’s skyscrapers, delighting spectators in a giant Poké Ball-inspired sled. The balloon will greet fans as it moves along the parade route before arriving at the iconic Macy’s Herald Square.
This year, Pokémon fans can usher in the festive season with the newly launched Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, featuring a new region to explore, new Pokémon to discover, and new ways for fans to play. The Pokémon Company International has also provided fans with more ways to engage with the Pokémon brand during the holidays, including the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, Sword & Shield—Silver Tempest; the newest season of the Pokémon animated series, Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, streaming on Netflix; and fun gift ideas at Pokémon Center, the premier online destination for official Pokémon merchandise in the US, Canada, and UK.
To join the Thanksgiving celebration with Pokémon and Macy’s, fans can tune into the parade from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 24 in all time zones on NBC and streaming on Peacock.
