A line of DinoCity toys will hit retail in 2022.
This week, Riki Group named Gulliver Group as the master toy partner for DinoCity, to produce more than 50 SKUs. Gulliver Group will develop licensed DinoCity collectible figurines and playsets, plush, creativity sets, musical sets, and more.
“The series DinoCity has already won the love of young viewers in Europe, and we believe that every little fan of the series will be happy to have favorite character toys,” said Maya Moskvicheva, CEO of Riki Group’s licensing agency, Marmelad Media. “As the copyright holder of well-known brands, we care about the quality of goods so that children experience only positive emotions when they come into contact with their favorite characters. We are pleased to partner with such a major strong player as Gulliver Group International.”
DinoCity is an animated preschool comedy series produced by Riki Group and APC Kids, in partnership with Animax Production animation studio. It portrays a family of dinosaurs — including central character Ricky and his older sister Tyra — living in an urban setting. The second season is slated to come out next year.
The team behind DinoCity hails from Russia, Ukraine, and the U.K. The series premiered November 2020 on Italy’s DeA Junior, followed by a rollout on Tiny Pop in the U.K. and Ireland. In October 2021, it launched in Russia on the Karusel TV channel and Okko. Several channels throughout Europe have acquired broadcast rights — including France’s Piwi, Finland’s YLE, Greece’s ERT, Ketnet in the Flemish region of Belgium, MBC in MENA, and Menart in the Balkans.
“DinoCity will be one of our key projects for the near future and we expect an incredibly cool lineup of toys thanks to the high professionalism and creative potential of our teams,” said Gulliver Toys COO Natalya Melnikova. “New products will certainly appeal to customers outside of Russia.”
