Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Brands announced eight license agreements with new and existing partners for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.
AutoBrush, Noshi, and Storypod are now onboard as licensees for the brand, while current partners — including JAKKS Pacific, Mighty Mojo, Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, and Cottage Door Press — have new merchandise on the way.
Meanwhile PBS and General Mills launched a Yoplait yogurt promotion featuring characters from the series, with product sold across the country.
AutoBrush will develop Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood-branded toothbrushes, dental flossers, and toothpaste; Noshi is a manufacturer of organic food paint; and Storypod is known for its interactive storytelling system.
In toys and games, JAKKS Pacific is producing back-to-school plush; meanwhile Mighty Mojo has a “party in a box,” pool accessories/swimwear, and floor puzzles in the works.
In publishing, Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing is releasing new titles like Daniel Visits a Pumpkin Patch, Daniel Plays with Max, Clap for the Helpers, Read with Daniel Tiger, and Baking Day! Cottage Door Press will offer Writing and Tracing Skills for Kids along with Colorforms titles.
“The demand for exciting new Daniel Tiger-themed products continues to grow,” said 9 Story Brands’ co-VP of consumer products. “We’re thrilled to be working with leading partners on such a diverse range of products so that kids can engage with their favorite tiger in new and meaningful ways.”
