Following the global pilot program launched in Australia, the ToyMonster Jurassic World Captivz range will launch in U.S. retail stores starting in June. The collectible Pop N’Lock toys — which combine slime, battle play, and species design — are inspired by the animated series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous from Universal Pictures, DreamWorks Animation, and Amblin Entertainment, streaming on Netflix.
Captivz are collectible Jurassic World Pop N’Lock toys, combining slime, battle play, and species design. On National Dinosaur Day on May 15, ToyMonster launched their U.S. marketing campaign which included a sneak peek, collector-created content across YouTube and social media, along with an exclusive activation at Clamour Summit where more than 300 family and kid influencers will participate in a Jurassic World Captivz Dinosaur Hunt.
“We first launched Captivz in Australia and the response has been wildly successful,” said Claire Carroll, Global Head of Brand & Marketing at ToyMonster. “Now, Jurassic World fans all over the world are chomping to get their hands on these collectibles with their premium detail and gamified battle play. We’re excited to bring the line to the U.S. to celebrate the power of this blockbuster franchise and inspire dinosaur-sized imaginations.”
ToyMonster’s U.S. launch will roll-out the Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Edition Captivz at Walmart, 5 Below and Meijer. Over the coming seasons, the line will introduce new dinosaur species leading up to the release of Jurassic World: Dominion in June 2022.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous season 3 premieres globally May 21, 2021 on Netflix.
