Cybele’s Games announces its participation as an official exhibitor at ASTRA Winter Camp, a virtual trade show and conference offering hosted by the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA). This camp-themed experience will take attendees on a winter adventure dedicated to discovering new products, gaining new insights and ideas and connecting with the specialty toy industry.
Throughout ASTRA Winter Camp, Cybele’s Games will showcase their brand-new product Candy Collections! and connect with buyers through their campsites, an area which will feature product and company videos, information on show specials and promotions and opportunities to hold live Q&A sessions.
Business duo (mom and dad) Michele and Jabus McKenzie established Cybele’s Games in 2020 to share their young daughter Cybele’s creativity with other children by publishing board games invented by her. Their debut board game Candy Collections! is a beginner’s board game that entices kids to roll the dice, move their token a space or two at a time and aim for the chance to be declared the winner. Basic reading and math can be supported by a parent or older sibling. This is their first time exhibiting at Astra and they look forward to meeting and connecting with members of the specialty toy industry. The ASTRA Winter Camp experience invites all in the business of play including toy, game, gift, hobby, educational and museum stores, to join the adventure from February 19-23.
“What is the best part of camping in the winter?” asked Michele McKenzie, co-founder of Cybele’s Games. “Playing Candy Collections! of course,” exclaimed the children. The virtual trade show and conference includes opportunities for live Q&A sessions with vendors, exhibitor campsites with video galleries and show specials information and exciting social events – including the popular Game and Kit Night and Share the Fair – to connect attendees in a fun, engaging way.
“Following the positive response from ASTRA Camp in August and with the continued changes that so many in our industry have had to navigate, we are proud to offer ASTRA Winter Camp in February,” said Sue Warfield, interim president of ASTRA. “During a time when it continues to be especially important for our industry to come together, we are excited to present an opportunity for the specialty toy industry to connect and help them plan for the year ahead.”
ASTRA Winter Camp will be held February 19-23. Visit www.astracamp.org for more information on registering for this can’t-miss event.
