Make48 has announced the theme for season four: “The Toymaker Challenge.”
With the assistance of Matt Nuccio, president of toy design firm Design Edge, Make48 will give audiences a crash course in toy development, from head to hand, all in just 48 hours. Seasons one and two of Make48 are currently available at PBS.org with season three slated to begin airing this fall.
Make48 is a competition TV series in which teams apply and compete to develop a new commercial product idea in a 48-hour invent-a-thon weekend. Teams have 48 hours to plan, prototype, and pitch a new idea within the specifications of a challenge, revealed at the start of the 48 hours.
Season four of the educational invention series will begin filming this summer, with distribution to Public Television Stations across the U.S. through American Public Television.
