Winning Moves Acquires Pass The Pigs

Winning Moves announced the acquisition of the pig-dice party game brand Pass the Pigs from David Moffat Enterprises, following approval by the board of directors of both firms.

Pass the Pigs was invented by David Moffat and first published in 1977 by Recycled Paper Products under the name Pigmania. As the game grew in popularity, its name was changed to Pass the Pigs and licensed to Milton Bradley for several years. In 2001, Winning Moves entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with David Moffat Enterprises to publish the game in North America.

Pyramid International Launches DC Super Hero Girls Stationery

Pyramid International and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, launched the UK’s first stationery range for DC Super Hero Girls.

For girls ages 6–12, Pyramid’s range of licensed DC Super Hero Girls stationery features notebooks, three stationery sets, stationery gift items, plus a range of pens, highlighters, pencil cases, and a collapsible storage box. The range is available throughout the UK at Toys “R” Us, WH Smith, Amazon, HMV, and The Range, with further partners to be added later this year.

Shout! Factory, Toei Animation Team for Digimon Film Series

Shout! Factory and Toei Animation announced a multi-picture deal to bring the Digimon Adventure trilogy to the home entertainment marketplace.
The multi-year alliance provides Shout! Factory with exclusive North American broadcast and home entertainment distribution rights to the first three films from the series, including DVD, Blu-ray (including the original Japanese audio with English subtitles), and digital rights. The first movie, Digimon Adventure: Reunion, is expected to launch later this year.
