Mind Candy Hires Handscomb
Mind Candy, the company behind Moshi Monsters, announced Penny Handscomb as its chief people officer. Handscomb will lead the company’s human resources and talent management, and will be central to cultivating company culture.
She has more than 20 years of human resources and talent acquisition experience working with consumer brands in the U.S., Canada, and Israel. Prior to Mind Candy, she was ShoeDazzle’s chief talent officer and before that she was senior vice-president of human resources and training at Provide Commerce, best known for its ProFlowers brand.
Iconix Hires Herman
Iconix Brand Group announced that it has appointed Craig Herman to executive director of publishing for Peanuts Worldwide and Iconix Entertainment. He will drive the editorial content of the publishing program for the Peanuts brand on a global basis, as well as transition the business to the optimal blend of physical books, e-books, and hybrid digibooks and apps. He will also maintain and build relationships with key retailers to maximize the business potential for the category.
Herman joins Peanuts from Running Press. He has also held positions at Warner Books, HarperCollins, and Simon & Schuster.
Planeta Junior Hires Ibáñez Belaustegui
Diego Ibáñez Belaustegui has joined Planeta Junior as international commercial director. He has worked in various national and international companies, mainly in the field of audiovisual content. His recent roles include working for the Real Madrid soccer club and the Spanish television broadcaster Televisión Española.
His role will be to reinforce Planeta Junior’s international strategy. The company has offices in Spain, Italy, France, Greece, and The Czech Republic.
