Pajanimals Expands Global Airings

The Jim Henson Company has licensed all 52 episodes of its new preschool series Pajanimals to The Walt Disney Company for its Disney Junior platforms in France, Italy, Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, Israel, Turkey, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

Pajanimals is slated to begin broadcast on Disney’s EMEA platforms starting in this month in morning and afternoon slots, with some markets planning nightly programming blocks developed around the Pajanimals’ bedtime themes.

In the U.S., it airs every night on 24-hour preschool channel Sprout. The series also began broadcasting in July 2012 as part of the new NBC Kids weekend morning block for preschoolers.

It was previously announced that Pajanimals has been licensed to international broadcasters ABC in Australia and TVNZ in New Zealand.

Planet Sox in Deal with Key Soccer Teams

Planet Sox has signed a licensing deal with One Entertainment, encompassing four of the most popular soccer teams, including Manchester United, Juventus, FC Barcelona, and Arsenal. The company will be focusing on all size ranges of socks, from infant through men’s and in addition to socks will offer prewalkers for infants. The company will also offer a line of head and wristbands featuring team logos. The line will be distributed in the U.S. and Canada.

Scooby-Doo Monster Truck Debuts

Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Feld Motor Sports announced that Scooby-Doo, will be touring and competing at Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam in 2013. The Scooby-Doo truck, which has been specially designed to resemble the Great Dane, will join the other Warner Bros. Monster Jam trucks Superman and Batman as the Monster Jam tour kicks off the season in early January.

Yo Gabba Gabba!, Y Water in Beverage Deal

DHX Media’s Yo Gabba Gabba! announces its first-ever juice beverage partnership with Y Water, maker of organic nutrient-rich drinks for kids. Kids 50 is an all-natural juice beverage with half the sugar and calories of regular juice, according to the company. Kids 50 featuring the Yo Gabba Gabba! characters will be available at select retailers in January. It will be available in four flavors in packs of six.
