Paul Frank Brand Expands with New Deals Worldwide

Saban Brands continues the expansion of the iconic Paul Frank lifestyle brand with the addition of newly announced licensing agents across Europe, including Team Licensing in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; J&M Brands in the Benelux; and Plus Licens in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. New Paul Frank worldwide licensees include Play Imaginative (vinyl figures), Pan Am (travel-inspired bags with special edition linings), Spidi (high-end camera accessories), Najarian Furniture Company (furniture line); and Ethos (sporting goods). In Europe, Saban Brands has also partnered with TV Mania as its Paul Frank master apparel partner for teens and adults in the UK, France, Germany, & Austria; TWC for watches in pan-European; and Sky Brands for bedding and home accessories for Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. New Paul Frank stores have also recently opened in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Bogota and there are plans to open stores in South Africa in the near future.

Exim Licensing On Board for Care Bears in Latin America

American Greetings Properties (AGP), the intellectual property and outbound licensing division of American Greetings Corporation, has re-signed Exim Licensing Group as its licensing agency of record in Brazil and Chile and inked several new for the territories. Through the multi-year representation renewal, Exim will help AGP further expand the presence of the Care Bears in South America through an array of licensing, marketing, and promotional agreements.

A series of new deals have already been secured in Brazil for the Care Bears with licensees including Tilibra, Emoly, and JML Comercio de Presentes. Tilibra recently launched a Care Bears stationery line, while JML Comercio de Presentes will release a collection of dinnerware this month. Emoly will debut a health and beauty line next month, which will include shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, nail polish, and lipgloss. Libesa has created a line of Care Bears notebooks in Chile.

Cut the Rope Partners with Burger King

ZeptoLab, the developer of Cut the Rope, announced a promotional partnership with Burger King restaurants. The promotion will feature exclusive toys based on the game’s loveable character Om Nom as well as a new digital game as part of its kids meal program. The Cut the Rope promotion will begin in March 2013 with a fully integrated marketing campaign that includes in-restaurant merchandising, a unique digital game experience, and additional extensions that will feature an all-new theme and storyline. Kids will receive one toy as part of their meal, plus a custom code that will unlock the themed-game.
