A Sky Original kids’ TV series produced by TG Entertainment Limited, The Brilliant World of Tom Gates is based on the multi-million-copy bestselling Tom Gates book series written and illustrated by Liz Pichon.

New Season of Make48 Docuseries Set to Premiere September 12th on PBS

Season 5 of Make48 will start airing Monday, September 12 2022, on PBS. This season of Make48 will reach over 90% of US households on local PBS stations. Check your local PBS station for viewing dates and times. The newest season will also be available for streaming with a new episode being released each Monday for 10 weeks starting on the 12th at PBS.org.

TOMY International Arrives at Dallas Toy Fair with New Owned Peeky Pops and YumiAmi IPs

TOMY International has introduced two new owned properties, Peeky Pops and YumiAmi, that come available in fall of 2023. YumiAmi, developed in-house by the US brand design team, brings more diversity into the TOMY toy line. The five soft and sweet dolls, who come from varied cultural backgrounds, are designed for children three to five years old and will come packaged with a book and sold as a gift set. In a partnership with Cottage Door Press, each book will be paired with their respective doll and promote learning about and embracing each other’s cultures. The line, available in July of 2023, was designed with the toy specialty channel in mind and will retail for $29.99 a set.

Toonz Entertainment Inks Strategic Partnerships Ahead of MIPCOM

Toonz Entertainment, the content distribution division of global kids and family entertainment major Toonz Media Group, has closed strategic partnerships with leaders in the industry to bring exciting animation series to the market ahead of MIPCOM. Toonz Entertainment has acquired exclusive distribution rights for ‘Everything’s Rosie’ from UK-based V&S Entertainment Ltd. The program includes 104 episodes of 11 minutes each for LATAM, IBERIA, US, and Canada. Toonz will now have ‘Everything’s Rosie’ distribution rights for TV, Video-On-Demand, Internet and All Videogram rights.

Popeye and Olive Oyl Hit the International Runway with New Apparel Collaborations from Permoda and Cornejotex

King Features Syndicate, a unit of Hearst and home to some of the world’s most popular entertainment characters, announced the international expansion of Popeye and Olive Oyl into select areas of Central and South America through new apparel collaborations. Multinational retailer, Permoda (KOAJ), and Ecuadorian textile brand, Cornejotex, both recently debuted new collections inspired by the iconic comic characters and their unique, recognizable fashion styles. The deals were negotiated by King Features’ agent in Latin America, Tycoon.
