Xilam Animation Makes Waves with Zig & Sharko Season Four Sales

Academy Award-nominated French animation studio Xilam Animation has secured its first wave of deals for the upcoming fourth season of its iconic non-dialogue slapstick comedy series Zig & Sharko (78 x 7’), as the company prepares to debut the first episode to buyers at MIPCOM. Launching in September 2023, season four has been acquired by longstanding partner Gulli (France), which has also renewed its partnership across the previous three seasons. Additionally, Xilam has sold the new installment to existing partners VRT-Ketnet (Belgium), Discovery (Italy), DeA (Italy), Nickelodeon (India) and Nova TV (Israel).

Licensing Expo 2023 Reveals New June Date & Fashion Theme

Licensing Expo, organized by Informa Markets and sponsored by Licensing International, will take place on June 13-15, 2023, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The licensed consumer product and brand extension tradeshow, which saw enormous success in attendance and exhibition in 2022, was originally due to take place on May 23-25, 2023, but will now return three weeks later to accommodate event venue renovations. The new show dates will ensure smooth experiences for attendees and exhibitors at Licensing Expo.

Monster High: The Movie ‘Screaming’ Now on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon

With Halloween just around the corner, the ghouls of Monster High: The Movie are finally here to scare up some angsty chills and thrills! She quickly makes friends with her classmates Frankie Stein (Ceci Balagot, Dispatches from Elsewhere) and Draculaura (Nayah Damasen, “Grey’s Anatomy”), and for the first time in her life, Clawdeen feels like she has finally found a place where she fits in and can truly be herself, despite keeping her human half a secret. When a devious plan to destroy Monster High threatens to reveal her real identity, Clawdeen must learn to embrace her true monster heart and find a way to save the day alongside her new friends.

Mattel Announces Global Renewal of Hit Animated Series Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go

Mattel, Incorporated announced that it has renewed Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go, the highly successful animated series based on Thomas the Tank Engine, for two additional seasons. Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana Studios has begun co-production with Mattel Television on the two new seasons which are set to deliver in 2023. Building upon the emphatic reception to Season 26 and the introduction of the series’ first autistic character, Bruno the Brake Car, seasons 27 and 28 will continue to broaden the global viewership of the celebrated series and are comprised of 26 11-minute episodes; each series also includes its own 60-minute special.
