Silvergate Media announces Warner Bros. Discovery partnership for Octonauts in Latin America
Silvergate Media (Silvergate) is proud to announce that Warner Bros. Discovery’s preschool channel Cartoonito and streaming platform HBO Max have secured the rights for the acclaimed animated series Octonauts in Latin America.   Octonauts Series 1-3 will be available to watch on Cartoonito and HBO Max in neutral Spanish (Latin Spanish) and Brazilian Portuguese later in the year. Apple TV+ has announced a series order for “Eva the Owlet,” a new animated kids and family series based on the New York Times bestselling Scholastic book series “Owl Diaries” by award-winning author Rebecca Elliott. Since first being published, “Owl Diaries” now has eight foreign language translations and 3 million copies in print. Produced by Scholastic Entertainment and animated by Brown Bag Films, “Eva the Owlet” also features original songs by critically acclaimed musician and singer-songwriter Fitz of Fitz and the Tantrums.

Cartoon Saloon Signs New Licensing Partners for Irish Folklore Trilogy

Five-time Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA and Emmy-nominated animation studio, Cartoon Saloon heads into the upcoming Licensing Expo in Las Vegas announcing a slate of new licensing partners for its Irish Folklore Trilogy, all created and directed by Tomm Moore, a co-founder of Cartoon Saloon. The Irish Folklore Trilogy includes Academy Award-nominated features WolfWalkers (directed by Ross Stewart), and Song of the Sea and The Secret of Kells (co-directed by Nora Twomey). The announcement was made today by Brian Tyrrell, General Manager of Cartoon Saloon Brand Development, who will be attending Licensing Expo for in-person meetings.
