The team is small and dynamic, made of self-starters that truly enjoy the start-up nature of the company. Each day is something new as the foundation is built in the US market, setting the company up for future growth. Under the direction of the Chief Commercial Officer (Spain-based), the VP of Sales builds and executes the growth strategy for all US and Canada accounts. The role is home-based with a requirement of regular travel to accounts with occasional travel to the global headquarters in Barcelona. This is a great opportunity to join the IMC Team in an exciting and dynamic role while we continue our growth in the US Market!

 

Responsibilities

• Expand upon business plans and strategy (short and long-term) for the territory and how it fits within the North American market
while aligning with global business objectives

• Manage P&L for accounts and improve profitability across the subsidiary

• Spearhead the joint business planning process alongside merchants and planners, strengthening business relationships and
propelling sales with a strategic vision

• Orchestrate go-to-market strategies for product launches and influence the product development cycle with targeted
recommendations based on industry performance and trends

• Oversee communications between retailer and internal teams

• Drive US and Canada forecasting activities to shape the budget and inform demand planning and production processes, while also
developing demand planning strategies in collaboration with international teams to accurately forecast and manage inventory
procurement, ensuring operational accuracy and financial efficiency

• Demonstrate strong people leadership skills while mentoring sales team and setting them up for success with strategic direction and
support as needed

• In addition to direct reports, lead and influence other teams within the organization to maximize performance

• Champion initiatives between cross-functional teams including local and international to ensure strong positioning for our brands

• Deliver profitable and sustainable growth across all channels

• Monitor retailers’ promotional spends to ensure cost of business goals stay within range

• Display very strong problem-solving skills while inspiring others to be solution-oriented

• With assistance from Business Manager, report on the business to HQ while giving insights to help global strategies

 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or related field

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience working for CPG companies with toy experience required

• Proven track record of building long term strategic plans

• Self-starter that is highly motivated and understands the US Retail landscape

• Multiple-channel sales management experience preferred

• Understand retail financial metrics and comfortable with negotiating vendor terms

• Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical skills

• Willing to travel up to 40%
